Hatchlings Doula Service
Committed to your birth, your way

What can I do for you?
As your doula, I tune in to your personality, your worries and your goals for your birth. I get to know you before the birth so that I can best support you (and your partner) during the birth. In labor, I am a steady presence that provides you with reassurance, information and suggestions. I take the pressure off dads-to-be (or other support people) who may be nervous about being your sole support. I can work in the background or front-and-center, depending on your needs.
In addition, if in pregnancy or postpartum you need help with a problem--for instance turning a breech baby, problems with breastfeeding, or postpartum depression--I have vast resources for providing referrals to qualified, recommended care providers.

As a birth doula...
I want what you want. I don’t have any agenda of my own except to help you get what you want and need during labor.
I have a gift for touch and massage, which I can demonstrate at our free interview if you like.
I have incredible knowledge of the normal birth process.
I have and show great respect for all members of the birthing team, which can include the father-to-be, the OB or Midwife, nurses and any other family member who is present at the birth. I make it a point to never create tension in the birthing room.
I spend a lot of time in prenatal visits, talking with you about your expectations, wishes and fears for your birth so I can best support you.

As an ICEA Certified Childbirth Educator...
As a working childbirth instructor with Head Over Heels Birth Education, I am well-versed in all aspects of childbirth and spend time keeping up with current info and trends in birth. http://www.headoverheelsbirth.comshapeimage_5_link_0
